World Diabetes Day

SILIGURI SUBHASPALLY WELFARE ORGANISATION  organised a Diabetes Camp on 13.11.2010 on the eve of ‘World Diabetes Day’. More than 50 people were benefited by this Camp. Our members rendered their valuable service and made this venture successful. We are grateful for the valuable support of --

1. Bristol Myers Squibb.
2. Biocon Ltd.
3. Sun Pharma.
The whole Camp was supervised by Dr. Prasanta Paul.
The people present in the programme were given information regarding Diabetes and it’s prevention. An LCD Projector was used to explain the symptoms and prevention explicitly.

Childrens Day

To commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Chacha Neheru, our organisation had arranged a cultural programme within the premises for enhancement of the natural talent of the children, who are regular student of the art class. The children recited poems and sang songs to celebrate the birthday of their beloved Chacha. We distributed School Bags, Drawing Exercise Books, Sketch Pens, Pencil Box containing a Pen, Pencil, Sharpener, Eraser, Scale and Chocolate, to all the children present in the programme.

Siliguri – 25.09.2010

Siliguri Subhaspally Welfare Organisation was organised two programmes which were announced earlier and these two programmes were held in the premises of Subhaspally Bazar today (25th September’10) at 6 p.m.

A large number of people participated in these two programmes and a great enthusiasm was seen among the common men and the pedestrians. Besides, the beneficiaries and members of the organisation were also present.

The first programme was on Computer Literacy Programme, which was inaugurated by Sri Saman Pathak Hon’ble M P Rajyasabha. Our organisation gratefully acknowledge his allotment from his MP LAD Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh) to buy computers for  making the poor people aware about the computer use. Computer Literacy is actually an extension service along with the main activity to serve poor people by medical aid on behalf of our organisation. Hon’ble MP enquired about the activities and progress of our organisation and he was pleased for our service to the poor, and he promised future assistance if needed.

The second programme was on ceremonial inauguration of website of our Siliguri Subhaspally Welfare Organisation and the official website is  (www.siliguriswo.org) it was inaugurated by Sri Asok Bhattacharya, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge, MA & UD, Govt. of West Bengal, This website was long pending but we had the eagerness to make available the information of our organisation and it’s activities to a larger extent. Hon’ble Minister lauded our effort for running this welfare organisation which is poor-men-centric. This Organisation thankfully acknowledge his assistance for and ECG Machine for diagnostic purpose of the patients which he had provided three years ago and it is being used for the service of the poor men.

Sri Asok Bhattacharya, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge, MA & UD, Govt. of West Bengal was quite satisfied with the activities of the organisation and he promised future help besides he requested to the Hon’ble MP (Rajyasabha), Sri Saman Pathak for further assistance and immediately Sri Pathak promised Rs. 2,00,000/- (two lakhs) for medical equipments for the patients from his MP LAD.

These two programmes were held in a befitting  manner and  the people remained eager to watch and witness this two events and these two important personalities of North Bengal.
